Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Plague at the Dirty Dog (2016)

This bootleg was recorded in Austin Texas at the Dirty Dog bar during the support of Monsters of the Universe. This is an October show so we have skeletons on the stage along with the green lights. The person recording this is focused with Jack and Troy so Wednesday is a bit off to the side of the recording. The sound of the show is really good but the video can be somewhat lacking as it seems to be off to one side. But a descent recording of Troy and Jack in action!

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Blood, Guts and Gore at the Hideaway (2015)

This rare gem was filmed at the Hideaway bar in 2015 in support of the Monsters of the Universe record.  The bar is very lite so this is a special show as you do not have the normal lightning like other shows.  This show seems very intimate and personal even though the set list seems short. Wednesday 13 and the band seems to be enjoying the show and the crowd even if it does not seem large on stage presence. Interesting point is seeing Roman swinging the mic to side all through the show between back vocals and playing. the crowd and Wednesday 13 joking as they cannot get off the stage to do encores so they fake it.  Plus we have Wednesday 13 playing the rare track Suffer live!

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live at The Korova …And Bloodshed for All (2016)

This recording of the show was done at the Korova in San Antonio Texas in support of the Monsters of the Universe tour in 2016. This show is amazing and I love that the set list is not the norm. We have fake fire in the background and the lightning is done real well at this venue. The band is right on with sound and connection and this may be one of the first shows with Kyle Castronovo on drums as Wednesday 13 announces him as a new guy. One of favorite recordings from this tour.

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Agora Monsters of the Universe US Invasion (2015)

This recording was perfect in sound as it was recorded in Agora during the first leg of the Monster of the Universe tour of the US. Which means it is jammed pack with songs from the CD and it is actually a long set list.  There is even a keyboardist playing on set list. ( Kyle Castronovo who later on becomes the drummer)

I believe there is a video version of this show on youtube (or at least clips) but this is an audio version that I have.

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live at The Curtain Club Come Out and Plague (2016)

This rare bootleg I got hold of late 2016.  This was filmed on the later part of the support tour for Monsters of the Universe.  The film is very clear and the audio is crisp. The show is filmed at the Curtain Club in Dallas. We have Wednesday 13 in all his glory with umbrella, masks, laser lights on his hands and of course the classic devils mask.  This show they seemed have dropped the title track for the end of the set but overall this is a clear and amazing recording.

Setlist

  1. Keep Watching the Skies

  3. I Want You Dead
  4. The Ghost of Vincent Price

Jack Tankersley

Jack Tankersley (2010  – Present)

Jack Tankersley joined Wednesday 13  first as a member of Gunfire’76 as he replaced Dave Musselman on guitar in 2010. When the Murderdolls needed a bassist to help support the Women and Children Last tour in 2010. He left Bullets and Octane and joined the band and finished the tour. When the band disbanded he joined Wednesday 13 on his solo efforts as a guitarist.

Jack was involved in 2011 Calling All Corpses and finished that tour. He also was part of the EP Spook and Destroy in 2012, The Dixie Dead in 2013, Undead Unplugged as he played guitar and of course Monster of the Universe: Come on Out and Plague in 2015.

Jack continued with the band in 2017 by being the guitarist for the band during the recording of Condolences and did the supporting tour for that CD.

Much like Roman Surman, Jack Tankersley has been a solid member of Wednesday 13 for sometime.

Roman Surman

Roman Surman (2006 – Present)

Roman Surman was a long time time guitar tech for Wednesday 13 before he joined him in 2006 in the Bourbon Crow project. H was also involved in assitanting in the short video called Weirdo A-Go-Go in 2008.

In 2009 he joined Wednesday 13 in his glam metal project called Gunfire 76. He was part of the band and recorded and toured for the record Casualties and Tragedies and did the First Blood Tour.

In 2010 Joey Jordison and Wednesday 13 decided to bring back Murderdolls and Roman was asked to be a supporting guitarist for that tour also for Women and Children Last.  After the band broke up Wednesday 13 decided to Roman had become a major guitarist in his recordings so he added him to his solo projects.

Wednesday 13 next record was called Calling All Corpses in which Roman was also part of the record and tour. He was also involved in the EP Spook and Destroy. In 2011 he toured with the Wednesday 13 band and has been a member since. He was involved also in The Dixie Dead, toured for the Undead Unplugged tour.

In 2015 Wednesday 13 released his first non horror solo record called Monsters of the Universe : Come on Out and Plague. He wrote Planet Eater: Interstellar 187 which was the first time that someone on one of Wednesday 13’s records was involved in the writing process.

Roman continued with Wednesday 13 with the recording of Condolences in 2017 and once again held the reign of the main guitarist of the band for that tour.

Wednesday 13 has said it before that Roman Surman is like a brother and he uses him as the man to listen to songs and tracks and correct him as second ear for his music. Roman is still a current member of the Wednesday 13 band.
