Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Everyone Hates Poland (2018)

The Poland show from the Condolence tour was great it was about 40 min long and had a nice mix of the newer stuff. The sounds and the video is really good of this show. Wednesday 13 is ax swinging, backwards man, the black and white devil mask are used, the classic umbrella and top hat. The show is just missing some of the classic stuff but its a nice mix of his solo songs.

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live New Years Eve Ozzfest (2018)

Ozzfest New Years Eve in 2018 into 2019 during the day Wednesday 13 was asked to perform. Yes it was during the day but the show did not hold back. The shortlist is short but the show was filled with props and effects from everything from eye patches, ax swinging, hook hands, backwards man, a zombie creature introduction, the fuck umbrella, giant scissors , devil mask with pitch fork and even a god damn powerful snow machine that blew like hail on the crowd. For a day show the band did not hold back but unfortunate the song is a hit and miss on this bootleg.

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Everyone Hates Vegas (2018)

Recorded in the summer of 2018 in a small bar called the Beauty Bar in Vegas this short set was done. The stage is super small and the band is on top of each other on stage including Kyle’s drum set shoveled to the back side.  The sound of the recording is very clear but the stage presence is hard to tell as it is jammed up there. A few songs were dropped form the current set list for Condolences and most of the theatrics are left behind. But it is a nice little gem to view if you need a 30 min fit of Wednesday 13. Plus how often do you see Wednesday 13 with a unicorn on the back drop?

Setlist

1. What the Night Brings
2. Bloodsick
3. Scream Baby Scream
4. Hail Ming
5. Rambo
6. Prey for Me

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Bloodstock 2018 (2018)

The summer of 2018 Wednesday 13 played Bloodstock again (first time in 2017) but this time it was actually fully record and was lucky enough to get a fairly decent copy of it.  The show was short as it was a festival  but he did  pull out the stops for the theatrics. We have the a intro like the Shining, fire spitting, dancing ladies, ax swinging, the classic upside down mask, the white devil mask and the black goat mask. The video of the band is very clear and look great the sound was hit and miss as Wednesday 13 was louder than the actual music. But it is a nice little live show that supported Condolences.

Set List

1. What the Night Brings
2. Bloodsick
3. Scream Baby Scream
4. Serpent Society
5. Prey for Me
6. Bloodsucker
7. Gimme Gimme Bloodshed
8. Condolence

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live Everyone Still Hates You US (2018)

This is a recording of a show on the US leg of the Combichrist tour called Everyone Still Hates You in 2018. Wednesday 13 no longer became the main act during this round of shows as he was trying to reach out to a newer crowd of people to get a bigger fan base. This means the set list is shorter than in the past but he did not hold back on the stage show.  Yes, Wednesday 13 dropped the classics of his past career but he brought energy and props to the stage. He has the now classic Serpent Society mask, the death mask that he wears backwards for Prey for Me and the new white devil mask for Condolences.

1. What the Night Brings
2. Bloodsick

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live My Condolences Denver (2017)

This recording was done in Denver  during the Condolences tour in 2017. The video is pretty clear for most songs and a few taken a bit farther away in the crowd (I’m guessing this was film by multiple people and edited together). Seems to have a split in the intro of Serpent Society which is too bad.(my claim this was edited). But the audio is clear and the band is in well form as they tear the crowd apart with some new stuff and classics stuff.

Setlist

  1. What the Night Brings
  2. Scream Baby Scream
  3. Keep Watching the Skies
  4. Cadaverous
  5. Get Your Grave on
  6. Serpent Society

Wednesday 13 – Bootleg Live at the Paper Tiger Texas (2017)

Thanks to a fan for recording this full show and uploading to youtube a recording of a show supporting Condolences is now available to view.  This is filmed at the Paper Tiger located in Texas in 2017 at the beginning of the Condolences tour.  The sounds is not bad but the video is taken all from side of the stage (Jack and Troy area) so there is some lack of vision of Wednesday 13 in some parts. But overall it is a decent recording. Cruel to You was replaced by Prey for Me at this show.

Setlist

  1. What the Night Brings
  2. Scream Baby Scream
  3. Keep Watching the Skies
  4. Cadaverous
  5. Get Your Grave On

Wednesday 13 – Condolences (2017)

In 2017 Wednesday 13 talked about doing and releasing his darkest record yet. He wanted to keep the same band together as the last record as he felt this build a tighter connection and it worked. He mentioned that the work would be more based around the eyes of a serial killer and darker lyrics.  After doing an unplugged tour with part of his band and Bourbon Crow this was a nice change.

He named the record Condolences due to the number of stars deaths and it felt like it was becoming more a common word in his world.

The band released a video for What the Night Brings first to set the pace for the up coming record. The second was released about a month later for Blood Sick (bit of a Spider Baby theme). Third video released was the comic driven Cruel to You. The forth video was released on release day of the cd for the title track Condolences. (which he used the fake tacked of his own death to prompt).

The tour itself to support the record was louder and more aggressive. Spider web images dot the background with a bright red logo of the name. One of the first shows for the tour was playing at the Download Festival with an addition to the stage of pyrotechnics from a trio of ladies.  Into the tour Wednesday 13 had to cancel a few dates due to his daughter Zoie Starr having a baby.

Track List

1 Last Rites
2 What the Night Brings
3 Cadaverous
4 Blood Sick
5 Good Riddance
6 You Breathe, I Kill
7 Omen Amen
8 Cruel to You
9 Eulogy XIII
10 Prey for Me
11 Lonesome Road to Hell
12 Condolences
13 Death Infinity

Personal View – Being waiting it seems forever for this record and finally it is here. This record does not disappoint when it comes to darker lyrics and heavier.  Going in the same heavy vein of the last record but more driven with killer tunes with less campiness. Some of the tunes that drive and stick out from this record (after many listens) are the opening track What the Night Brings, Cadaverous (necro feel again and I love when he sings about this topic), Blood Sick (one of the strongest tracks I personally find from W13), Omen Amen (heavy as hell and driven), Condolences (very classic Alice Cooper sound, nice guitar in the middle added touch), You Breathe, I Kill ( is very heavy and maybe the darkness yet, makes you want to kick some ass), Prey for Me (heavy riff and a nice drum track) and the ender was a surprise Death Infinity as I was waiting for an outro much like past records.

There really are no lacking tracks on this record even the rare ones took a couple listens and not long before my head and foot was going.  Love the direction of this record went and the way Wednesday 13 is marching towards creepier and darker stuff. Don’t get me wrong I love the campy side also (huge FDQFP13 fan) but this a nice killer soundtrack to be played and listened in order. “Sorry for you Loss” and “I fucking like it

(Wednesday 13 and Troy)

In September the record Necrophaze was released with the same members as before in the band W13, Roman, Troy, Jack and Kyle. Even this time on the record it has guest singers and the other members had more of a role in the writing.
